Qualcomm completes first year of Africa Innovation Platform

Qualcomm Incorporated has announced the completion of the first year of the Africa Innovation Platform, a suite of mentorship, education, and training programs created to support the development of Africa’s emerging technology ecosystem.  The platform has provided resources and support for local universities, ten small-to-medium sized startups, and grant participants. The program exposed these groups to Qualcomm Technologies Inc.’s engineers and its state-of-the-art capabilities suite for mobile platforms and technologies, including 4G, 5G, IoT, AI, and machine learning.  Qualcomm also announced several additional benefits to the Innovation Platform for this year’s participants:  Social Impact Funds from the Qualcomm® Wireless Reach™ Initiative to help QMIA startups scale,   Patent filing incentive fund, to help QMIA startups protect their inventions through patenting and  QMIA 2024 program launch for mentoring 10 deep-tech startups in Africa. Fresh Dairy revamps its flavoured milk with new look

Fresh Dairy has once again purposed to address the ever-changing needs and preferences of its customers by revamping its flavoured milk with a new look and slim pack addition. New Visa Report Tells Consumers to Stay Alert

Visa Inc., a world leader in digital payments has revealed its Holiday Edition Threats Report, which anticipates  heightened scam  activity during the holiday season across both card-present (CP) and card-not-present (CNP) transactions.  The new report identifies  popular fraud tactics expected between November 2023 and January 2024 due to the rapid increase in eCommerce activities and in-person spending across retail and hospitality.  Visa, has also unveiled its list of top 10 habits consumers can follow to practice safe and secure shopping. Historical data and transactions show that threat actors prey on consumers during the holiday season. In fact, Visa’s data shows that for the top merchant categories targeted by fraudsters, 2022 holiday fraud rates increased 11% over their non-holiday fraud rate and saw an increase of 8% over the previous year during this time .  The Holiday Edition Threats Report warns that threat actors will seek to exploit consumers’ increased interest and urge
